While working on my project “Wandering” in 2019, I planned to set out to search deeply into my soul in order to understand my life changes.

I traveled aimlessly from Bangkok deep into Kanchanaburi province to capture anything I felt emotionally connected to with my camera. In the beginning, I spent a lot of time trying to establish a connection with the power of superstitions that I believed I could feel but could not see.

These are some of the photos from that period. In the end, I did not use these photos in the final selection as I realized that my search for understanding was more about me dealing with my own emotional and mental challenges rather than seeking out any mystical powers.

Puvadol Saengvichien (Nong) was born and raised in Samut Prakarn, a suburban town near Bangkok with a bachelor degree in Architecture and an MBA in Marketing. After an 18-year long career in architecture, retail and product management, he left the corporate world behind to pursue his passion for Photography.

He observes and searches hidden meanings in ordinary things that we see every day, especially things that are normally overlooked. He is motivated by how to capture his immediate feelings towards those objects with his camera and to see how those images impact other people’s emotions.
